The Big Wild cocktail : conserving the George River
On behalf of The Big Wild Challenge, you are cordially invited to enjoy pre-dinner drinks with a northern feel on Monday, October 27th at 5:30 p.m., at Buvette chez Simone (4869 Parc Ave., Montreal). A multimedia presentation will transport you to the majestic Des Pas and George Rivers, where an expedition was held from July 29th to August 26th of this year under the banner of The Big Wild Challenge.
Nicolas Mainville, Director of Conservation at the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, Québec Chapter (CPAWS-Québec) will be on hand to present the case for conserving the George River watershed, nearly one quarter of which was recently protected by the Québec government. Come celebrate this jewel of Northern Québec, host of one of the largest caribou herds in the world!
Presentations begin at 5:30 p.m., tapas and drinks to follow.
